Dan
Originally from Rome, and now firmly based in Bristol, Dan's stencils are largely figurative; usually photographs taken of friends or ordinary people in public places transformed by scale, colour, folklore and framing, depicting those very issues that would otherwise be taken for granted by passers by.
In the 80s and early 90s the act of spraying graffiti on public walls was a message in itself, affirming the fact that we exist by writing our logos or slogans on a wall. In the last decade, the message remains the same, but what really motivates Dan's is work that which delivers a deeper meaning that everyday people can relate to.
